Chelmsford Young Farmers Club is a social group open to young people between the ages 16-28. As the motto says - “you don’t have to be a farmer to be a young farmer”. 

Joining Chelmsford Young Farmers Club is simple! Just head over to the ‘contact us’ section at the bottom of the Homepage  and fill out the membership form. Once you complete the form, you will be added to our mailing list and will receive updates on upcoming events and activities.

We have our weekly meetings which can range from farm tours, bowling, laser tag, car treasure hunt, park games, sports, pub socials, brewery tours, and a lot more. Additionally we have our activities which are usually weekend based and include parties, black tie balls and events, pub crawls, clubbing, meals out, birthday parties, just to name a few.

Annual membership costs £35 (September-August) and you can join at any point throughout the year. How much you spend weekly is optional but our meetings are usually free or a minimal amount if we have a booked activity. Black tie balls and events can range from £50-100, and parties usually have a £5-15 entry fee, but heavily discounted drink.

Every Tuesday we meet either in Chelmsford or the surrounding areas. More information will be available through our WhatsApp group after you complete your joining for. All timings and precise locations are available the Sunday before and a reminder again on the Tuesday morning. 

YES! Being a farmer is NOT a requirement for joining. If you are interested in the outdoors and the rural lifestyle then Chelmsford Young Farmers is open for you!

You absolutely can! We allow 3 free meetings for you to get to know people and make sure you feel comfortable to join. Come along and see!

Although most of our meetings involve traveling, there are plenty of public transport routes available and with members from every corner of Essex, we are certain that you will find lifts to the meets.

There are no commitment requirements to joint Chelmsford Young Farmers, although we do encourage our members to come as frequently as possible so that they get the most out of their membership.
